Sudason Babur Bari: This magnificent palace better known locally as ‘The Judge’s House’ was built by Sudason Babu, a local businessman about 150 to 200 years ago, this impressive palace is fully preserved by its present owner Abul Hossain Khandakar- a judge of the Special Tribunal of The Supreme Court.

Palace of Radha Raman Babu: Radha Raman Babu, an 'usury' business man; built this house around 150-200 years ago. Perhaps overzealous, he also built two different rooms on either side of entrance for his parents, and had statues of them inaugurated as well. It is believed that, during the war of independence in 1971, the Pakistani army ruined the sculptures as well as some of the structure.

Andhar Kotha: Aptly named the Dark Palace, as not a spot of sunlight filters through this age old building; invites stories of locked up daughters and the like, it also stands in front of the river and may perhaps, simply be the residence of a family who preferred to keep their distance. No one knows who built it and when. A mystery indeed!

Nishkunda Temple: Beware! Nishkunda, the highway devil prowls the bridge near a temple, waiting to waylay travelers as they pass. Wily and smart, he does not show up when expected. People have built a lying sculpture of Nishkunda, close to the temple to show their respect to him and pray for their safety.

Jaminder Bari: Built by avid businessman and zamindar Radha Nath Saha, close to 150 years ago. Placed strategically on the bank of the river Ichamati and with a Hindu Lakshmi Temple placed close by it; this proves Radha Nath Saha indeed, put a lot of thought into building his home. Although the temple sculptures and structure have long since either eroded or looted, since its abandonment in 1945 AD, a Hindu family now uses this house as their residence and the adjoining quarters as a teacher’s dorm.

Jitendra Babur Bari: Better known as 'Ukil Bari' or Advocate’s House, almost 200 years old structure, was built by Jitendra Babu, younger brother of Sudason Babu and also a businessman. This fine palace would have fallen into disrepair, had not Advocate Hasim Ukil come to the rescue. This kind man now up keeps the entire palace and its surrounding grounds.
