Day 1:
We will start our journey very early in the morning towards Narail. Here we will experience Otter Fishing. Fishing with otters has been practiced in Bangladesh for the last two hundred years. This traditional practice plays an important role in otter conservation in Bangladesh.

The whole fishing system is unique, involving three people, a boat, a net, two adult tamed otters, and an immature trainee otter. The tamed otters generally do not catch fish by themselves during fishing rather they chase fish towards a special fishing net placed in the water away from the boat. Otters start driving fish to the net from different directions and when they come close to the net, the fishermen pull the net into the boat. These fishermen are completely dependent on this technique for their livelihood.

We will also explore otter fisher men temple along with some other sacred Hindu temple.

Overnight at Aurunima Resort

Day 2:
We will leave early from the resort and head to Paturia river port. Continuing on we will head north-west towards the ferry crossing of the Padma/Ganges River. After crossing the mighty river, we will explore remains of the mid-19th Century Teota Palace; it was the home of a dynasty founded by Panchanan Chaudhuri, who was born in about 1740. But early in the 19th Century, Panchanan returned to Manikganj, his home district, presumably acquiring the rights of tax collection and becoming zaminder, and commenced the building of the palace complex that was to become the main residence of his family for 150 years. So highly regarded did the family become that they were one of the few zaminder families in Bengal to be accorded a personal honorific of a royal title, presumably Nawab. Around 1920, the striking Navaratna Temple was built beside the palace. In a style that might be described as Art Deco meets Hinduism, the temple was probably the last great construction on the site.

There is a chance to visit Shivalaya Temple Clutched in the embrace of the sacred Bodhi tree, the remains of this sacred building seems, almost, to be a metaphor for the archaeology and rich religious history of Bangladesh

Drive back to Dhaka and end of the tour.
